Profile

Takuya Matsumoto

Executive Officer/Partner

Biography:

Graduated from the University of Tokyo, Faculty of Engineering. He is a core member of the Insurance & Finance practice and Marketing Sales & Pricing at The Boston Consulting Group. As a partner, he leads a wide range of management agendas from mid-term business plans and company-wide strategy development such as AI and DX strategies, as well as company-wide transformation such as Sales Transformation and Agile@Scale.

Comment:

I am convinced that the rapid progress of AI is bringing about a tipping point that will fundamentally rewrite the way corporate management is conducted and the way people work. Rather than discussing this transformation from the outside, I have decided to take on the challenge of implementing it as a participant and sublimating it into solid results.

We will design and implement AI-first operations and explore new ways of working in which "people do things with AI" through our own practices, in order to both revive the competitiveness of companies and improve job satisfaction.

Later, he worked as an Investment Officer at the Washington DC headquarters of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) of the World Bank Group, where he was in charge of investments and loans for the financial sector in emerging countries.

Comment:

I feel a strong sense of expectation and responsibility to be able to take on the challenge of being at the forefront of the great transformation brought about by generative AI. I would like to contribute to the creation of sustainable and globally viable value by utilizing my practical experience at financial institutions and the knowledge I have cultivated overseas to help strengthen the competitiveness of Japanese companies, and by playing a central role in GenerativeX's expansion into the United States.
